These short courses run in the afternoons from Monday to Thursday during the term, and address content topics aligned to the curriculum to deepen teachers’ understanding.
Generic courses dealing with interventions, discipline and inclusive education are also offered. Courses are accredited by the South African Council for Educators (SACE) and teachers receive continuous professional teacher development (CPTD) points for attendance.
Currently presented in English, Afrikaans and isiXhosa, courses are highly valued by teachers due to their practical relevance, comprehensive content, and interactive nature, which provides them with actionable strategies to implement in their classrooms.
PSP also offers in-person training workshops for school management teams, teachers and parents through our various projects, and upon request.
